Gary Neville has now made a surprising claim about Manchester City after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Wolves.
The 48-year-old shared the comments when speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast.

Well, the Sky Sports pundit believes Arsenal will beat Manchester City to the Premier League title after Pep Guardiola watched his side lose two games in a week.
The Citizens crashed out of the Carabao Cup at the first hurdle following a 1-0 loss to Newcastle on Tuesday.
An own goal from Ruben Dias and a strike from Hwang Hee-chan then ensured Guardiola’s side suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday.
Now, Neville has claimed that Arsenal will sense some vulnerability from the Citizens.
Speaking after Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday, he said: “That post-treble feeling, what it would have taken out of those City players and staff would have been enormous. They could easily win the league this season and obviously it is just one game, but little results like that give the other teams encouragement.
“We know City have lost games in the past and gone on long winning runs so we can’t write them off but it will give a lot of encouragement to Arsenal. Against Newcastle, it was a serious team that Pep Guardiola took up there and at Wolves, they’re conceding a goal or two, they’re going behind in games and they look human.”
Now, that is a very surprising claim – despite last week’s successive defeats, Manchester City are clear title favourites, and boast the experience to claim a sixth Premier League title in seven years.
Manchester City were bound to wobble
Guardiola lost two influential players over the summer in Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez – Aymeric Laporte also left, another who was fairly important during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
In regards to incomings, Manchester City adopted a youthful approach, signing two 21-year-old talents in Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol among others.
Therefore, a lot has changed at the Etihad Stadium, and Guardiola’s new look side will need time to gel, so there will undoubtedly be hiccups like the one at Molineux as these signings settle in.
