Kyle Walker has reportedly made a verbal agreement to join Bayern Munich from Manchester City this summer.
It was initially reported back in June that the German club were interested in signing the defender and had been in talks with him over a possible deal.
Now, a big development has been revealed in this particular transfer saga.
Walker agrees to Bayern move

In a recent Twitter post, journalist Florian Plettenberg had this to say on the situation.
He said: “Excl. News #Walker: Bayern have reached a total verbal agreement NOW! Walker, ready to sign for FC Bayern as he said YES today! Now, Bayern has to find an agreement with Man City. #MCFC Contract until 2025 + 1 as revealed.”
City signed the 33-year-old back in the 2017 summer transfer window from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth a reported fee of £50m.
Since then, the England international has made 254 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions, chipping in with six goals and 18 assists as well as winning numerous trophies.

Bearing in mind how the Manchester club apparently offered Walker a two-year deal to try and keep him at the Etihad Stadium, this shows how much they value him as part of their squad and why they will presumably be disappointed to hear that he has apparently agreed to join Bayern.
With Joao Cancelo being claimed to be one of the players City look to move out of the club this summer, it’ll be interesting to see if the European champions look to bring in another defensive option in addition to Josko Gvardiol should the Portuguese international and Walker end up leaving in this window.
Moving forward, if the Englishman does end up joining the German club in the coming weeks, we feel that this would be a big blow for City as the 33-year-old has proved to be one of their most capable and experienced players over recent years.
