Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has reportedly found himself on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The previous summer transfer period saw the Citizens sell three players to two of their fellow Premier League clubs.
While Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko joined Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, Raheem Sterling made a move to Chelsea.
Looking ahead to the next summer window, it has been claimed that another City figure could be swapping Manchester for London this time around.
Spurs eyeing Laporte transfer
According to a recent report from The Times, Laporte could push to leave the Manchester club this summer and currently has Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur monitoring his situation.

City signed the defender back in the 2018 January transfer window from Athletic Bilbao, splashing out a then-club-record transfer fee of £57m for his services.
Since then, the Spaniard has gone on to make 176 appearances for the Manchester club across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and winning four Premier League titles.
Having started just nine league games this season, it’s easy to see why the 28-year-old may look to leave the Etihad this summer if he wants to play regularly elsewhere.
However, in terms of Tottenham’s apparent interest in Laporte, we feel that City shouldn’t consider selling the centre-back to a fellow top-flight side, as they did with the previously-mentioned trio last summer.
Also, with the north London club not securing Champions League football for next season, it seems unlikely that the Spanish international would choose to join the Lilywhites over a side like Barcelona, who are now La Liga champions.
Either way, it feels like this summer could be a pivotal one for Laporte and his future, whether that’s with City or not.
