Trent Alexander-Arnold says every match is now a must win for Liverpool as they look to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title.
The defender has made it clear his ambition is to win the quadruple this season as Jurgen Klopp looks to end his tenure at Anfield in style.
Liverpool could win their first piece of silverware on February 25 if they defeat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final and are going strong in the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.
But if they want to get their hands on the league title then they will have to go through reigning champions City.
Liverpool are currently top of the pile on 51 points but Pep Guardiola’s side are hot on their heals just two points behind in second.
Trent Alexander-Arnold feels Man City getting closer
Alexander-Arnold admitted he knows City are stepping up a level and expects the title race to go all the way. He told CNN: “I always think because this time every game is almost like a final now.
“Because they’re saying other team look like they’re clicking into gear, which means that it’s gonna go down to the wire as usual, which means every game is a must win.
“As simple as that. And that’s the way you want it.
“You want to get pushed. You want to push yourself as far as and as hard as you can and test yourself to the limit and.
“I think every single game is a is a must win and even a draw feels like I lost no matter the context of it.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold is not wrong
Alexander-Arnold cut a confident figure in the interview as he boldly made his case for Liverpool’s chances of claiming a quadruple.
But he’s right to be worried about the monster of City breathing down their necks.
Despite losing just three times, the Blues have been inconsistent this season for their lofty standards but it feels like that is changing.
City have now won their last seven domestic fixtures since claiming the Club World Cup in December and have been buoyed by the returns of key duo Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian striker looked a little rusty on his return to action but De Bruyne has picked up where he left off.
The brilliant Belgian has already got a goal and two assists in his first three games back and looks as sharp as ever.
With him back in the side, City are certainly ‘clicking into gear’ and Liverpool should be concerned.
