Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made an improved bid for winger Bradley Barcola – a player Manchester City have apparently been keeping tabs on.
City are looking for a replacement for Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian left the club last month to join Al Ahli, and the Etihad recruitment team are now scouring the market for someone who could step into his shoes.
Michael Olise of Crystal Palace is thought to be a genuine option.
Jeremy Doku has also been mentioned.
But it has also been suggested that Lyon youngster Barcola could be of interest.
But if City want him, then they may have to get a move on with PSG now making a second, improved bid.
PSG make new bid for Manchester City target Bradley Barcola
At the moment, PSG are closing in on a move for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

But the French giants are also seemingly looking to add a second winger.
According to Foot Mercato, a new offer has been made by PSG. And it is apparently in excess of £26 million.
It is unclear how much exactly has been offered.
But it remains to be seen if it will tempt Lyon into selling Barcola, who is said to have ‘explosive speed’.
It has previously been suggested that the star could be valued as high as £43 million.
City need to sign a winger this summer
So PSG are really trying to land Barcola, who is definitely an exciting young talent.
It will be interesting to see if City decide to get involved, although right now it does seem like Olise is more of a priority.
But it has been suggested that City will not break the bank for him.
It is important that City do land a winger this summer after Mahrez’s exit.

There has been some talk about using Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden out wide if the club cannot find someone.
But both of those players are arguably better when they play in the middle.
Ideally, City need to sign a natural wide player. And it would be fascinating to see Barcola in a City shirt, as unlikely as it probably is at this stage.
