Manchester City will seemingly have a good chance of signing one of their key transfer targets this summer, after a move to Chelsea failed to materialise.
Both Manchester City and Chelsea are expected to be heavily active in the summer transfer window.
Pep Guardiola and Enzo Maresca are both believed to be desperate to freshen up their ranks at the Etihad and Stamford Bridge respectively.
The Man City manager is said to be planning a big summer clear-out at the Etihad this summer.
Numerous players who have historically been key members of Pep’s squad face the chop this summer, including the likes of Kevin De Bruyne.

With so many big players being linked with the exit door, it will be vital for Pep to bring in some top-class new signings, if he is to add to his incredible trophy haul at City.
The addition of some real raw, blistering pace should be very high on the Man City manager’s wish-list.
And now the door could be open for the Spaniard to bring in someone who oozes class, but more importantly, unrefined speed.
Manchester City target Karim Adeyemi switches agents after Chelsea rumour
According to a report from BILD, fleet-footed Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi has just switched agents.
The 23-year-old was represented by Ali Barat, but has now switched agencies to ROOF, after Barat offered his client to Chelsea in the January transfer window.
That is very interesting news for Man City, with Pep said to be very keen to bring the German to the Etihad.
And now after he switched agents, there’s every chance that Man City will be able to sign him.
Described as ‘unplayable on his day’ by Goal, Adeyemi is an absolute nightmare to defend against.
He possesses blistering pace and has clocked the third fasted speed of all-time in the Bundesliga at a staggering 22.77 mph (Official Bundesliga website).

The Germany international is valued at £41 million by Dortmund (Goal) – a real bargain fee in this day and age, given his quality.
Karim Adeyemi in and Jeremy Doku out would be a big upgrade
The Dortmund winger is head and shoulders above Jeremy Doku.
Adeyemi has bagged 92 goals and 53 assists in 254 career games (Transfermarkt). Now compare those numbers with Doku’s.
The Belgian has 30 goals and 33 assists in 201 games to his name.
Adeyemi has a career record of a goal contribution every 1.75 games, whilst Doku bags a goal or an assist every 3.19 games – quite the difference.
Manchester City bringing Karim Adeyemi to the Etihad should be a no-brainer, especially after he switched agents following a failed January move to Chelsea.
