Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Kyle Walker will be making a decision about his future at Manchester City shortly.
Last month, it was reported that Bayern Munich have been in talks with the defender over a potential transfer move.
With some weeks now having gone by, some fresh details have emerged regarding this particular saga.
Walker to make decision on future soon

In a recent Twitter post, Romano said this about the current situation surrounding Walker.
He said: “Kyle Walker will make final decision on his future very soon. Manchester City offered him new deal to stay and be important part of the project as [Joao] Cancelo will leave.
“…but Bayern are pushing to sign him, in particular Thomas Tuchel who wants Walker among priority targets.”
As Romano mentioned, the Manchester club are reportedly willing to offer the 33-year-old a two-year deal to stay at the Etihad Stadium and are not looking to see him leave this summer.
This showcases how important they feel Walker is for the squad and that they wouldn’t want to see him join another club, especially a European rival such as Bayern.

Last season saw the right-back show how significant he can be for the team, especially in the big occasions as he completed the full 90 minutes in both of City’s Champions League semi-final clashes against Real Madrid and found himself being praised by Thierry Henry for his defensive efforts up against Vinicius Junior.
This is presumably one of the reasons why the Citizens are keen to see the Englishman not only stay at the club this summer but also extend his stay there beyond his current deal, which is set to expire next summer.
Given how reliable he can be at the back, we feel that it would be a big blow if Walker did decide to leave Pep Guardiola’s side in this window and that the club should do all they can to convince the full-back to stay where he is and continue being successful with them.
