Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has said that he wants to improve as a player.

The 23-year-old recently made his return to action after recovering from an ankle injury that kept him sidelined since December.

Now though, the Norwegian has shared what his plans are in terms of individual progression and what he wants to achieve moving forward.

Speaking in a recent edition of the official Man City Podcast, Haaland had this to say about his aims for the future in a City shirt.

He said: There’s loads of things to still improve. When you play so many games, it’s difficult to train because you have to get ready and do the stuff that gets you fit for the next game.

“I want to become even better with the team, to be more solid with the team and to perform in the biggest games. And I want to recreate the things we did last season.”

City signed the centre-forward from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £51m during the 2022 summer transfer window.

Since then, Haaland has scored 71 goals in 76 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions.

Having broke so many records for his goalscoring efforts last season, which saw him find the back of the net 52 times in 53 games, it’s hard to see how he could improve.

However, this sort of mindset from Haaland shows how much of a winner he is and how he wants to continue to do his best for City rather than just settle with the level he is already at.

With City currently chasing Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, if the striker is able to improve his overall game whilst scoring goals on a regular basis, he’ll give his side a big chance of achieving their goals and lifting more silverware by the end of the season.
