Michael Brown raved about Bernardo Silva after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

On City’s official full-time show on their YouTube channel, the pundit singled Silva out as a standout performer on the day.

Branded as “outstanding” by Micah Richards, the £43.5 million (BBC Sport) man is currently one of the Premier League’s most in-form players.

Michael Brown says Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva was “everywhere” against Liverpool

The 29-year-old was exceptional once again, as he ran the tempo of the game from central midfield against Liverpool.

The Portuguese maestro was crucial to the hosts playing through the Reds’ press on the day and even defensively, he worked his socks off in what was an incredibly complete display from him.

“I was just saying that in commentary, Bernardo was everywhere, wasn’t he? Dropping in, some great play”, he said on City’s full-time show on their YouTube channel after the contest.

Bernardo Silva has a claim for being the Sky Blues’ most complete player ever

Michael Brown summed up the Bernardo Silva masterclass against Liverpool perfectly by emphasising how the Manchester City technician was well and truly “everywhere.”

While the treble-winner would unlikely be considered as the club’s greatest-ever player by the masses, a strong case could be made for him being the most complete footballer City have ever had on their books.

Bernardo Silva can control games at a standard not many can in the world, while also being sensational out-of-possession and is capable of producing elite performances in both midfield and on the wing against the very best.

The former AS Monaco attacker has shown during his six-year spell at the Etihad Stadium that he shines anywhere he is put on the pitch.

The manner in which Bernardo Silva combines his unique tactical malleability with truly world-class performances perhaps sets him apart from every other Manchester City player in the past.
