'We have to be cautious': Pep Guardiola admits 1 concern persists ahead of Bournemouth trip

As Man City ready themselves to go head-to-head against Bournemouth, Pep Guardiola has said that his side’s away record is a concern.

While City did beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, they also endured successive draws against Nottingham Forest and RB Leipzig on the road. Some other forgettable results have also come during their away trips such as the losses against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Pep Guardiola addressed the away struggles that Man City have encountered this campaign, ahead of his side’s upcoming contest against Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola says Man City away form is a concern ahead of Bournemouth clash

Ultimately, it is going away to the toughest grounds in the nation and getting the all-important 3 points that is synonymous with any and every side that wins the Premier League.

With Man City now travelling to Bournemouth to face them at the Vitality Stadium, Pep Guardiola addressed his side’s poor away form, as quoted by Manchester Evening News’ Daniel Murphy.

“Well, Nottingham [Forest], just 3 days, I was really impressed after Arsenal, then 3 days [later], we go to [RB] Leipzig; a really demanding game. It’s a question to consider, our athleticism is there but we have to be cautious.”

Hard to disagree with Guardiola on this front

Considering Man City have been slipping up in a number of their away trips this season, Pep Guardiola is right to imply that the same could happen against Bournemouth if they are not careful.

After all, the Cherries are battling relegation and much like Forest, they will be geared up to get a result, especially against the Premier League champions, which is definitely worth taking into consideration.

The hope remains for Man City fans and Pep Guardiola that they do the business away from home against Bournemouth.

The Catalan boss, as he did when discussing the Erling Haaland touches debate seems to be tackling every question head-on.
