West Ham United are reportedly closing in on signing another Manchester City player in addition to Carlos Borges.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the east London club are eyeing a move for City winger Carlos Borges and have offered £14m for his services.
Even before that proposed deal has gone any further, the Hammers now look to be closing in on a move for another player at the Manchester club.
West Ham closing in on Harwood-Bellis transfer deal

According to a recent report from Tuttomercatoweb, West Ham are close to agreeing a deal with City over a permanent transfer deal for Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Having made 71 appearances for City’s youth sides and eight in the first team, the defender has completed four loan spells away from the Etihad Stadium, the most recent coming last season where he helped Vincent Kompany’s Burnley make their way out of the Championship and back to the Premier League.

Given the current number of centre-backs in Pep Guardiola’s squad at the moment, in addition to their widely-reported pursuit of RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, it could be said that he may find regular game time in the team rather hard to find next season.
Therefore, potentially joining a club like West Ham where he may be more likely to play in the top flight on a consistent basis could be the ideal next step for the Englishman’s career.
Moving forward, if the Hammers do end up securing a permanent transfer for the 21-year-old in the near future, it’ll be interesting to see if City put a buyback clause in the deal in the way they did earlier in the window with Shea Charles’ move to Southampton.
