Since Grealish joined Stones at the Etihad Stadium back in the 2021 summer transfer window, the pair have featured in 42 matches together across all competitions, racking up a points per game average of 2.63.

In terms of the winger’s efforts last season in getting the Citizens to being able to lift the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League trophies, the 27-year-old scored five goals and delivered seven assists across 50 appearances.

In terms of his performances in the Premier League, the England international earned himself an overall season rating of 7.33/10 from WhoScored, making him the third-highest rated outfield player in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Then in the Champions League, he ended the tournament having made more key passes (35) than any other player that featured in the competition throughout the season.

This showcases how impactful the winger was for City in two of their title-winning competitions and how much he contributed to their success.

It also backs up why Stones was right to say that he deserves the success everyone connected to the club has enjoyed over recent weeks.
