‘What a player’: Samir Nasri loves £91,000-a-week Manchester City target, Guardiola is also a huge fan

Manchester City are now planning to sign Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich as a replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.

That is according to The Secret Scout.

If Manchester City do manage to bring Jamal Musiala to the Etihad Stadium, it would seemingly come with the approval of Samir Nasri

What’s the story?

Well, the Frenchman – who made 176 appearances for Manchester City – thinks very highly of the Germany international.

While watching Musiala star at the World Cup back in December, the 36-year-old wrote “what a player” on Twitter.

You can see Nasri’s tweet below.

Musiala was outstanding for Germany in Qatar despite Hansi Flick’s side being eliminated at the Group Stage once again – in truth, he has been phenomenal ever since leaving Chelsea for Bayern Munich back in 2019.

The £91,000-a-week wonderkid has scored 31 goals, while also providing 24 assists, in 130 appearances for Bayern Munich.

According to BILD in Germany, Pep Guardiola even used intermediaries to communicate to Musiala that he admires him after Manchester City faced Bayern Munich in pre-season during the summer of 2022.

Jamal Musiala is a hugely ambitious target, even for Manchester City

In our view, Manchester City may even be quoted a new world record fee by Bayern Munich for Musiala.

By the sounds of it, the Citizens are not planning a swoop for the 20-year-old until De Bruyne starts to fade past his best, as the 32-year-old grows further into his thirties.

Nevertheless, Bayern Munich are in a strong position to charge whatever they want for Musiala, as his contract runs until July 2026.

At that stage, De Bruyne will be 35 years of age, so perhaps it would be worth starting the push to turn Musiala’s head now, in order to secure his signature on a free transfer when that contract expires.
