Manchester City fans were largely outnumbered by the Fluminense support at the FIFA Club World Cup final – although those who made the long journey could still be heard chanting loud and clear.
Those who did make the trek to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia were treated to a goal after just 40 seconds from Julian Alvarez – the quickest strike in FIFA Club World Cup history.
After an own goal from Nino made it 2-0 to the Citizens, the travelling Manchester City fans could be heard chanting one thing…
What Manchester City fans chanted against Fluminense
Well, it has been quite the year for Manchester City supporters, who have already witnessed the Citizens lift the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
Now – as Pep Guardiola’s side coasted towards the FIFA Club World Cup too – Manchester City fans could be heard chanting “champions again, ole, ole” inside the King Abdullah Sports City.

This was backed up by the BBC.
Manchester City have now become the first English side in history to win these five pieces of silverware in the same year – a simply outstanding achievement when you consider the great English teams of the past.
Fair play to those at the FIFA Club World Cup
If you are one of those currently in Jeddah supporting Manchester City, we take our hat off to you.
It is harder than ever to follow your side nowadays as broadcasters continue to reschedule fixtures and often set matches at unsociable hours, rarely considering the distance required to travel.

Therefore, those who made the seriously lengthy journey to Jeddah – it is a 4962km trip from Manchester airport – deserve a huge pat on the back.
Hopefully, Manchester City recognise the effort put in by those who could be heard backing the team in Saudi Arabia, and can arrange some sort of tribute or award upon their return to England.
