It has been reported that Aymeric Laporte could see his future at Manchester City resolved this week upon the arrival of Josko Gvardiol.
This comes from the Daily Mail, as the £57 million (Sky Sports) man’s time at the Etihad Stadium looks set to come to an end.
Now, it seems like after Josko Gvardiol has officially become a Manchester City player, Aymeric Laporte could have more clarity about his future in the next couple of days.
Aymeric Laporte future at Manchester City could be decided this week
Branded as ‘absolutely world-class’ by Steph Houghton, the 29-year-old dropped right down to the bottom of City’s pecking order of centre-backs last season.
Starting a mere 11 games in the Premier League, it was evident that Pep Guardiola no longer fancied him.
Now, it has indeed been revealed that this week could determine whether Aymeric Laporte stays at Manchester City or leaves on either a permanent or temporary basis following the arrival of Josko Gvardiol.
MORE MAN CITY STORIES

Ahead of the upcoming campaign, it seems unlikely that the Spanish international will regain first-choice status, with the Croatian alongside the likes of Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, John Stones and Ruben Dias being likelier starters in sky blue.
Josko Gvardiol is the perfect replacement for the elegant defender
Manchester City should not be overly concerned if Aymeric Laporte decides to leave the club, considering Josko Gvardiol is the ideal heir to his throne.
Much like the five-time Premier League winner, the former RB Leipzig colossus is also remarkable with the ball at his feet, both as a passer and a ball-carrier, whilst also being left-footed.
What Gvardiol perhaps has over Laporte is that he is much more capable of defending wide areas and is a superior athlete to him as well.
Taking into account the youngster’s experience of playing in a back three, he is perhaps more suited to this current Manchester City side than Aymeric Laporte as well.
