Some Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react after Oscar Bobb received his first call-up to Norway’s senior squad.

The announcement was made by the Norwegian Football Association on Tuesday.

It comes after the £8,000-a-week man was handed a more prominent role at the Etihad Stadium by Pep Guardiola this season following the departures of Riyad Mahrez and Cole Palmer.

The 20-year-old started the Carabao Cup Third Round defeat to Newcastle, and was also given 45 minutes in Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Wolves.

So, what have the Manchester City fans on Twitter been saying about Oscar Bobb? Let’s take a look…

One Manchester City supporter simply wrote “congratulations” to Bobb after hearing the news.

Another boldly claimed that the Manchester City academy graduate is “better than” Palmer, while also stating that he is “going places” after breaking through under Guardiola.

Two other Manchester City fans commented on the situation, with similar thoughts in mind.

One supporter highlighted the exciting front three Norway can now deploy, with Bobb playing alongside Erling Haaland as well as Club Brugge wonderkid Antonio Nusa.

The other fan said they have been daydreaming about that trio, adding that they “saw this coming” after Bobb’s emergence.

Last but not least, two more Manchester City fans commented on the situation.

One described the Manchester City No.52’s call-up as “excellent news” and also sent their congratulations.

Another was simply left in shock, writing “wow” after hearing the news.

Clearly, the Manchester City fans on Twitter are very proud of Bobb after he earned a spot alongside the likes of Haaland and Martin Odegaard in Norway’s senior setup.

Hopefully, the 20-year-old can impress on his full international debut.
