Carlton Cole has said that Declan Rice should favour a move to Manchester City this summer instead of Arsenal.
The two Premier League clubs are currently in the mix to land a transfer deal for the West Ham United midfielder in this window.
This has now led to one former Hammers players sharing his thoughts on the matter and which club Rice should join.
Cole says City are the obvious choice for Rice

Speaking to Sky Sports (via Football Daily), Cole said this when asked which club Rice should move to this summer.
He said: “You’d go Man City wouldn’t you? That’s not even hating on Arsenal. You go to where the winners are.”
Bearing in mind how the 24-year-old previously shared his ambition of playing for a team that competes for trophies this would make a move to the Manchester club the perfect option for him in terms of having the best chance of winning silverware.

Having lifted the Europa Conference League with the east London club at the end of last season, this will have given the 24-year-old a taste of what it takes and what it’s like to win trophies.
In our view, having the opportunity to join a side that have just won the treble and will be looking to do the same again next season is something that should massively appeal to an ambitious player like Rice.
However, with Arsenal spending the majority of the previous Premier League campaign at the top of the table, they could persuade the midfielder to be the final piece of their jigsaw and take them over the line in terms of being title winners.
