Marcus Rashford has put rivalry aside and admitted Kevin De Bruyne has been the Premier League’s best player for the last four or five years.
The Belgian maestro has been an absolute revelation for City and been at the very forefront of the club’s success in recent times.
De Bruyne signed for City back in 2015 on the watch of Manuel Pellegrini.
The club shelled out around £55 million at the time, and some pundits questioned this outlay given how things didn’t work out for De Bruyne at Chelsea.
But it did not take De Bruyne long to silence the doubters.
The star has won 14 trophies with City, and has scooped two PFA Player of the Season awards.
Marcus Rashford says Kevin De Bruyne has been the best player in the Premier League for ages
De Bruyne’s brilliance is not lost on Manchester United striker Rashford.

He was speaking with Gary Neville on his Overlap YouTube channel, where he fielded some quick-fire questions.
He was asked for his thoughts about the best player in the Premier League.
Rashford said: “Last season, it was definitely Haaland. But I think over the last four or five years, De Bruyne, 100%.”
Last term, Haaland returned an absolutely unbelievable 52 goals in 53 games across all competitions.
Currently injured star De Bruyne scored 10, but made an incredible 31 assists in total.
Rashford is spot on
It is difficult to argue against Haaland being the best player last season.
Despite a lot of his goals being ‘tap ins’, what he does is not easy at all. Scoring goals is the most difficult thing to do in football, but Haaland makes it look easy because of how good is positioning an anticipation is. It’s a really amazing skill.
But Rashford rightly points out De Bruyne as being the Premier League’s best player of the last four to five years.

He has been utterly sensational for City, and is simply a joy to watch.
When he finishes playing at the Etihad he’ll go down as a club legend.
And many will talk about him as being one of the best players that has ever graced the league, right up their with Thierry Henry.
