Yaya Toure has said that the sextuple-winning Barcelona team in 2009 would beat this treble-winning Manchester City machine from last season.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Ivorian legend gave his two cents on which team would come out on a top in a one-off contest.
According to Yaya Toure, Barcelona would be the favorites and would end up vanquishing Manchester City after all.

The retired midfielder, who recently made headlines for calling Kolo Toure a ‘much better’ player than him never shies away from speaking his mind.
While Toure is considered as one of the greatest players to have donned sky blue, he was also a part of Pep Guardiola’s legendary team that are widely regarded as the best club side of all time.
Yaya Toure, who played alongside some of the Barcelona greats in a team that is still lauded to this day explained why they would have an upper hand against this Manchester City juggernaut.

“Thierry Henry, [Lionel] Messi, Samuel Eto’o, who was the best in the world. After that, [Andres] Iniesta and Xavi. Then me and [Sergio] Busquets. That team was so complete.”
“It would be tough but that team, with the mix of superstars, so many great players, I think they would win. 100 per cent.”
Not a controversial opinion from Yaya Toure
As Yaya Toure said, it would be a tough ask for that Barcelona side to get over the line against this Sky Blues superteam.
However, that Blaugrana bunch simply had way too much individual brilliance, which could perhaps decide a game between two teams managed by the same coach.
On the other hand, the City’s tactical flexibility and defensive solidity could still give them an edge on the day.
But then again, that Barcelona team would be the likely pick for most fans and pundits alike, as they simply operated on a different level to most.
