Anthony Elanga has now made a claim about Joao Cancelo – which involves Manchester City duo John Stones and Josko Gvardiol.

The Nottingham Forest No.21 made the comment on TikTok.

So, what was said about Joao Cancelo, John Stones and Josko Gvardiol? Let’s take a look…

Joao Cancelo placed above John Stones and Josko Gvardiol

Well, the £15m man was playing a game on TikTok – where random footballers pop up on the screen, and they must be placed in order of first to tenth.

Interestingly, Elanga placed Cancelo – who has been banished from Manchester City by Pep Guardiola – above Stones and Gvardiol.

The Sweden international even appeared to mutter something alone the lines of “dead player” under his breath when the Croatia international appeared on the screen, which suggests he does not rate the £77.6m defender very highly.

Gvardiol – who Jamie Carragher feels has struggled at times this season – was subsequently placed bottom of the list.

Elanga was a bit more complimentary towards Stones, who he clearly describes as a “good player” when speaking on TikTok – although Cancelo still came above the pair of them in second place.

Joao Cancelo likely to leave Manchester City

The Portugal international is currently on loan at Barcelona after spending the second half of last season on loan at Bayern Munich.

According to the Guardian, Cancelo’s attitude is said to have angered Guardiola, with Spanish news outlet SPORT claiming that Manchester City will happily sell the 29-year-old for a sum of just £26m this summer.

Jorge Mendes – the Portuguese maestro’s agent – has more recently confirmed that Barcelona hope to sign his client on a permanent basis this summer, after he impressed in Catalonia with three goals and two assists across 23 appearances so far this season.

Therefore, Cancelo seems likely to have already played his final game for Manchester City.
