Alexis Tibidi has now joined Manchester City on loan from Troyes.

That is according to RMC Sport.

So, what is the situation involving Alexis Tibidi and Manchester City? Let’s take a look…

Alexis Tibidi joins Manchester City on loan

Well – according to RMC Sport – this loan agreement has actually already been finalised, although it has not been officially announced by either Manchester City or Troyes.

The French news outlet explain that Tibidi had his loan at NEC Nijmegen cancelled this month as the Dutch outfit felt the 20-year-old failed to apply himself properly.

Now – however – the Frenchman has ended up at Manchester City, where the City Football Group hope to see him feature heavily in the U23 side and regain some momentum.

RMC Sport add that Tibidi is also likely to take part in some first-team training under Pep Guardiola during his six months at the Etihad Stadium.

It is also said that the Lille-born prospect will be accompanied in Manchester by a personal osteopath, to ensure he has the best possible support.

In some ways, it almost feels as if Tibidi has been rewarded for a poor spell on loan at NEC Nijmegen, although the City Football Group clearly rate him highly to react in such a positive manner.

City Football Academy may have a spot for Alexis Tibidi

The timing of this loan move is certainly interesting, as Manchester City have just agreed to sell Alfie Harrison – another young attacker – to Newcastle.

That is according to The Athletic.

Both Harrison and Tibidi operate in attacking areas, so it is entirely possible that the France U20 international takes the Englishman’s spot in the City Football Academy.

Hopefully, the promising forward can get himself back on track following a nightmarish spell at NEC Nijmegen.

Be sure to keep an eye out for Tibidi’s name, as Manchester City will presumably get the chance to sign him permanently if he succeeds on loan at the Etihad Stadium.
