Stefan Ortega Moreno reportedly feels he has a greater chance of becoming a number one goalkeeper at Bayern Munich than at Manchester City.
The German stopped has in recent days emerged as a transfer target for the Bavarian giants.
Ortega seriously impressed in his first season with City, after signing for the club on a free transfer after leaving Arminia Bielefeld.
Ortega was the back-up to Ederson.
But whenever he took to the field he impressed.
Ortega played the whole of City’s FA Cup campaign, and did not concede from open play in the entire competition.
He gave Ederson a brilliant push last term – and Bayern’s attention has been piqued.
And now, there is word of how Ortega is feeling about the situation.

Stefan Ortega feels he has greater chance of becoming a number one at Bayern Munich than Manchester City
BILD have reported about Bayern’s interest in Ortega.

And they provide some information regarding how the player feels about the Bavarians.
Apparently, Ortega sees the possible transfer ‘positively’ for two reasons.
The first is that he could apparently earn more with Bayern than he could with City. At the moment, he takes home about £55,000-a-week at the Etihad. Although it has been reported that City could offer the player a new deal with a wage increase.
And the second is that Ortega feels he has a much greater chance of becoming a number one goalkeeper.
At the moment, Sven Ulreich is between the sticks at the Allianz Arena, with Manuel Neuer recovering from a broken leg.
It is stated that a potential move to Bayern does appeal to Ortega.
He believes he has a good chance of becoming the number one, and he would apparently relish a battle with Neuer, 37, once he returns to fitness.
Bayern’s interest in Ortega is a worry
It is no surprise at all that Bayern are keen on Ortega.
He was absolutely brilliant last season when called upon, and he would be a superb number one for many clubs across Europe.
With Neuer out, Bayern’s interest in Ortega is understandable.
And the situation is definitely a worry for City.

A move there surely appeals to Ortega given Neuer is out.
They’re obviously the biggest club in Germany, and will always have a decent chance of snapping up the best German players.
Hopefully City don’t lose Ortega, who is genuinely a perfect back-up.
But Ederson is firmly established as the number, which could well lead to Ortega deciding he wants to go.
