Pep Guardiola has seen his Manchester City squad strengthened significantly ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The legendary coach entered the summer transfer market intending to add four to five new faces to his Man City squad, and the hierarchy at the Manchester club have delivered with Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Marcus Bettinelli arriving at the Etihad Stadium.
The Premier League giants do not intend on stopping there, with Man City keen to add a right-back to Guardiola’s ranks before the new season gets underway.
Should a new full-back arrive in Manchester, the player will need time to settle in, and he could turn to one star who has been helping the rest of City’s new boys feel welcome throughout the FIFA Club World Cup.

Jeremy Doku has been helping Man City’s new signings settle
Jeremy Doku has been a mixed bag ever since his £56m arrival in Manchester from Rennes during the summer of 2023; however, the Man City star impressed at the Club World Cup.
The winger played with confidence and seemed to be enjoying his time in the United States, with the 23-year-old playing a key role off the pitch as well, helping Man City’s new signings to settle in.
According to the Daily Mail, Doku has helped the new signings communicate with the rest of the Premier League club’s squad, communicating in different languages to the new recruits, with the help of Pep Lijnders.
The duo can speak a host of different languages, which include English, Dutch, French, Portuguese and Spanish, which covers nearly the entirety of Guardiola’s squad.
This helped contribute to the relaxed nature that was present within the Man City camp, who worked hard during the day, before relaxing in a multitude of ways in the afternoon.

The hobbies Man City stars enjoyed throughout the FIFA Club World Cup
Man City’s squad enjoyed the location of their FIFA Club World Cup base in Florida, as it allowed Guardiola’s squad a range of options to relax in the afternoon.
According to the Daily Mail, some members of City’s squad enjoyed trips down to South Beach in Miami, a 45-minute journey, and golf days. While Savinho and Rodri relaxed by playing table tennis, the duo are believed to be the best players at the Manchester club.
Some stars watched the other games in the competition, with Nico Gonzalez being impressed by Urawa Red Diamonds in their defeat by River Plate, whereas others switched off entirely from football.
Josko Gvardiol brought a book of crosswords and didn’t want to venture out into the heat too much for fear of expending energy, while Oscar Bobb took part in games of basketball with Guardiola’s coaching staff.
