Manchester City could see some big changes take place at the club in the summer.

In fact, one change has already been revealed, as Txiki Begiristain is set to leave his role as City’s sporting director, with Hugo Viana set to replace him at the end of the season.

As well as that, Pep Guardiola could leave the Etihad Stadium unless he signs a contract extension before his current deal expires in June.

On the pitch, City remain unbeaten as they look to add more trophies to their cabinet following a very successful last few years.

Looking ahead to what could be a busy summer period behind the scenes at the Manchester club, one figure from City’s squad has been pinpointed as someone the Blues may look to sell as one of the big changes of the window.

City could sell Ruben Dias in 2025

According to a recent report from TeamTalk, City could look to sell Ruben Dias as part of a big reshuffle planned for the summer.

The report also adds that “Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Dias’ situation but could face competition from clubs in the Bundesliga and La Liga should they choose to make a move.”

It’s also claimed that City are “likely to demand significantly more” than the £65m they paid to sign Dias back in 2020 if they do decide to sell in the summer.

Chelsea eyeing Dias swoop

As mentioned, it was recently reported that Chelsea are eyeing a transfer move for Dias amid potential uncertainty behind the scenes as City due to Begiristain’s exit, the speculation over Guardiola’s future and the ongoing case regarding the club’s alleged 115 financial breaches.

Having started eight of City’s nine Premier League games this season, it’s clear that the Portuguese international is an important figure for the Blues.

Therefore, it seems unlikely that even if they are planning a big reshuffle in the summer, Dias would be at risk of being sold, especially if another Premier League club like Chelsea are looking at him.
