Napoli No.77 Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has now commented on his future amid interest from Manchester City.

The Georgia international shared the comments when speaking to Geo Team.

So, what did Manchester City target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia say? Let’s take a look…

What Khvicha Kvaratskhelia said about his future

Well, the Napoli No.77 suggested he has no interest in joining Manchester City anytime soon.

Kvaratskhelia said: “Real Madrid was my favourite team in my childhood. Now I am 100% focused on Napoli. I am doing my best to help the team. I like many clubs but I’m not even thinking about my future as all I think about is Napoli and I feel so happy here.”

By the sounds of it, the 22-year-old would only consider leaving Naples for Real Madrid at this stage of his career, with these comments offering little hope to those hoping to see the Tiflis-born forward at the Etihad Stadium.

It was 90min who claimed that Manchester City would like to sign Kvaratskhelia after sending scouts to monitor his performances at Napoli.

The Georgian has scored four goals and provided five assists in 18 appearances so far this season.

Last term, Kvaratskhelia helped Napoli win a first Serie A title in 33 years with 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 appearances, which saw him finish 17th in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

How much Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would cost Manchester City

If Kvaratskhelia did agree to join Manchester City in 2024, it would cost the treble winners a lot of money.

Napoli will demand £87m to sell the electric winger – according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.

That would make Kvaratskhelia Manchester City’s second most expensive signing behind the £100m Jack Grealish, but based on his efforts at Napoli so far, this asking price is justified.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation going into 2024, as anything could happen.
