Kevin De Bruyne inspired Manchester City to some from behind and beat Newcastle United 3-2 on Saturday night – and Gary Neville has absolutely lauded the playmaker.
De Bruyne came off the bench in the second-half when City were 2-1 down and flipped the game on its head.
He scored an equaliser, placing a brilliant shot through the legs of a defender from just outside the box.
De Bruyne then floated a wonderful pass over to Oscar Bobb in the 91st minute, with the Norwegian rounding Martin Dubravka to score the winner.
It was a sensational cameo from one of the Premier League’s greatest-ever players – and Gary Neville couldn’t help but sing his praises…
Gary Neville lauds ‘delicious’ Kevin De Bruyne after Man City’s win over Newcastle

Neville was speaking about City’s comeback win after Manchester United had played out a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
The former United defender says that he knew City would find a late winner, and that the result will come as a kick in the teeth to the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.
Neville was left utterly blown away by De Bruyne especially. He said on the Gary Neville podcast: “De Bruyne is delicious. He is a thing of beauty when you watch him. He’s amazing. We’ve missed him in terms of the last few months, City have missed him, obviously, more importantly.
“He’s just a delight. Someone who would be respected in every club. You’d want to turn up and watch him play. He’s a different level, and one of the great, great players in the Premier League.”
We are witnessing greatness
It is truly a joy to watch Kevin De Bruyne play football, and amazing to have seen him don the City shirt for his prime years.
The £55 million signing is without any doubt one of the finest players ever to grace the Premier League, and there’s no one in the game who can do what he does and with his consistency and efficiency.
It is scary to think that his display on Saturday was just his second since coming back from injury, which had him on the sidelines for five months.
Supposedly, De Bruyne is in a really good place right now after his break, and that bodes extremely well for City in the second half of the season.
