John Giles heaped praise on Manchester City youngster Oscar Bobb after his recent last-gasp winner against Newcastle United.
As Kevin De Bruyne grabbed the headlines for his heroics against the Magpies, Danny Murphy recently claimed the Norwegian merited much more praise than he was getting for his wonderfully-taken finish at St. James’ Park.
But Robbie Mustoe praised the 20-year-old after his delightful cameo against Eddie Howe’s side, describing him as “diminutive”, “clever” and “creative.”
John Giles hails Manchester City wonderkid Oscar Bobb as a “real player”
The teenager has managed to quietly emerge as one of the most exciting talking points about City this season.
Similar to Rico Lewis in the previous campaign, it seems like the Sky Blues have managed to unearth yet another gem.
John Giles briefly praised Manchester City attacker Oscar Bobb after his impactful showing as a late substitute against Newcastle.

“They brought this kid and I think he scored before when he was brought, the left-winger [Oscar Bobb], he looks a real player. He’s only young. Young lad but he looks a real player as well”, he said on The Stand With Eamon Dunphy.
Pep Guardiola deserves credit for how he is integrating Oscar Bobb
Not many would disagree with John Giles about Oscar Bobb, who continues to showcase why he is getting regular opportunities in one of, if not the best team in the world.
Much like in the case of Phil Foden, Pep Guardiola seems to have taken a careful approach in how he has chosen to integrate the silky technician into his side.
With how talented Oscar Bobb is, several managers would likely be tempted to play him, week in and week out.
But Pep Guardiola has the experience of managing such young prospects and by overplaying them, it could take a toll on their physical and mental well-being.
With that in mind, how Bobb has been used at the senior level from time to time is likely to benefit his development in the near future.
