Morgan Gibbs-White has attracted interest from both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Thomas Frank admires Gibbs-White as Spurs were hoping to persuade the 25-year-old to make his way to North London.
However, the former Wolves midfielder’s potential exit has turned into somewhat of a transfer saga.
Nottingham Forest opposed Tottenham’s approach to sign Gibbs-White as they never gave the Lilywhites the permission to hold talks to sign him.
From City’s perspective, Hugo Viana has appreciated Gibbs-White for years and at one point, it seemed like the Sky Blues were prepared to do whatever it takes to secure his services.

Man City have been offered Tottenham target Morgan Gibbs-White
Morgan Gibbs-White was one of the Premier League’s best players last season and it comes as no surprise that the Englishman generated as much interest as he has this summer.
However, City did not take Tottenham’s approach of speaking to Gibbs-White’s agent to find out about his £60 million release clause, which was not public knowledge.
Journalist Dean Jones has now told the Ranks FC podcast that Manchester City have been offered Gibbs-White, revealing: “Man City made a little push, didn’t they, at the start of the summer to kind of bolster their ranks. And I think they’ll be better than they were last season, whether they’re finished or not.”
“We’ll have to wait and see. I mean, even for City, there are some whispers right now about them being offered Morgan Gibbs White again. We’ll have to see.”
Man City could still sign Morgan Gibbs-White
Only time will tell whether Pep Guardiola’s men decide to push forward and sign the Nottingham Forest technician.
Guardiola spoke to Gibbs-White, who Callum Hudson-Odoi described as a “special player” while speaking to TNT Sports.
Evangelos Marinakis hopes Manchester City bid for Gibbs-White as Nottingham Forest’s dispute with Tottenham is yet to come to a resolution.
