Manchester City have the chance to make history once again in their upcoming 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
After becoming the first side to win four consecutive league trophies at the end of their previous season, Pep Guardiola’s side will be aiming to lift another one this time around.
Looking ahead to the upcoming campaign, a pundit has shared that he has some doubts regarding one particular player in the City squad and his ability to help them win another title.

Alan Brazil admits doubts over Kevin De Bruyne ahead of new Man City season
While discussing the upcoming Premier League campaign and City’s chances of regaining the title again, Alan Brazil had this to say about the one player he has doubt about in a recent video shared on the talkSPORT YouTube channel.
He said: “[Kevin] De Bruyne is my only doubt. I think [Erling] Haaland will start hitting the back of the net regularly again. De Bruyne is my only doubt.”
De Bruyne’s fitness should be the only concern for Man City
Looking back over De Bruyne’s previous season, the 33-year-old, who Christian Eriksen recently picked as one of the best passers in the world, missed a large chunk of it through injury.
Despite only appearing in 18 Premier League games, the midfielder, who City paid £54m to sign back in 2015, still managed to find the back of the net four times and supply 10 assists.
In fact the Belgian ended the campaign with the highest rate of shot-creating actions per 90 minutes (7.36) and goal-creating actions per 90 minutes (1.18) in the division.
This shows that the only concern anyone should have about De Bruyne is his fitness rather than his ability on the pitch.
In our view, if the midfielder can stay fit throughout the entire season, he’ll give City a great chance of winning another league title.
