Manchester City are back on home turf this weekend with another Premier League clash.
After drawing 1-1 with Newcastle United in their previous league outing, City will be taking on Fulham at the Etihad Stadium to try and take a step closer to potentially winning another title.
In midweek, Pep Guardiola saw his side secure their first Champions League victory of the season with a 4-0 away win against Slovan Bratislava.
Goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and James McAtee helped City put themselves in a good position to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after drawing their two previous matches.
Ahead of Saturday’s game against Marco Silva’s side, one pundit and former Premier League star has shared his thoughts on how City’s latest match could go down for them.

Alan Shearer predicts whether Man City will beat Fulham
In his latest article shared on the Metro website where he previewed and predicted the results for all of this weekend’s top-flight fixtures, Alan Shearer said this on the subject of City’s match with the Cottagers.
He said: “I’d never go against Man City at home.
“They looked flat against Newcastle with the loss of Rodri, and that game could’ve gone either way. The draw was a fair result.
“They still have a squad full of the best players and I see Man City having too much for Fulham. Home win.”
Shearer isn’t the only pundit to share his thoughts on how this particular game could pan out, as Paul Merson has also shared his prediction for City’s match against Fulham recently.
Which City players are unavailable to play against Fulham?
Even though City have not lost any of their six league games so far this season ahead of their match against Fulham, Guardiola has had to deal with some injury issues since the start of the campaign.
In terms of which players will be unavailable to take on the Cottagers, Guardiola revealed in his latest press conference that City will once again be without Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb.
Taking into account how Fulham are only three points behind the Blues in the table, have only lost one of their six games and conceded fewer goals than the champions (6 vs 5), this shows that despite Shearer’s confidence in the strength City’s squad have, Saturday’s game could still be a tricky one for them.
