Roy Keane lavished praise on to Rodri, as Manchester City beat Manchester United 2-1 to win the FA Cup and complete a domestic double.

The controversial pundit gave his two cents about the £62.8 million (Independent) man on ITV, as Pep Guardiola’s side are now just one game away from a historic treble.

As Rodri stood up tall for Manchester City against Manchester United once again, even Roy Keane had to tip his hat to him.

The Spanish international seems to be getting his fair share of praise from legends of the game, with even Sergio Busquets naming him as his ideal replacement at Barcelona.

Branded as ‘brilliant’ by Jermaine Jenas, the 26-year-old has had yet another phenomenal campaign, as he continues to strengthen his claim as the best defensive midfielder in the world.

As Rodri played an integral role once again for Manchester City in their hard-fought victory against Manchester United, Roy Keane was left thoroughly impressed by him.

“An amazing player, an absolutely brilliant player, a big strong physical presence. A bit of everything, he anticipates where the ball will go, reads the game. He looks like a decent lad, always available, never seems to be injured, so consistent, a brilliant player.”

Rodri was incredible once again

Much like Roy Keane, even the neutrals only had praise left to shower on Manchester City lynchpin Rodri, as he was typically faultless against Erik ten Hag’s side.

As per usual, the three-time Premier League winner was a dream in possession, picking the right pockets to receive the ball, bursting past the United press for fun while dictating the game.

While defensively as well, the number of times Rodri won the ball in dangerous positions, especially inside the box was remarkable.

The big players step up in the biggest moments and the Madrid-born midfielder always shines under the brightest lights.
