It is expected that clubs in Saudi Arabia will be playing a big part in the transfer window again this summer – and some have their eye on another Manchester City player.
Recently, it has been suggested that Kevin De Bruyne would be a dream addition for the Saudi Pro League.
But it would take a huge amount of money to pull it off, and the player has to give the green light, of course.
Kyle Walker has also been linked with a move to the Middle East.
But now, it has been suggested that goalkeeper Ederson could be targeted, in what is described as an ‘ambitious’ move…
Saudi clubs may attempt swoop for Manchester City star Ederson in the summer

It has been reported by the Telegraph that the Saudi Pro League are looking to make a string of marquee signings this summer.
There is apparently some interest in Ederson, who joined City back in the summer of 2017 for around £35 million.
Ederson has gone on to make 331 appearances for the club in total, and has been a game-changer of a signing. His ability to play out from the back has been hugely important.
He has proven to be one of Pep Guardiola‘s most important signings. Without someone as good as him on the ball, the system doesn’t work nearly as well.
Currently, Ederson has a contract at City until the summer of 2026, and there was talk earlier this season of him getting an extension and a wage increase.
Manchester City News spoke to transfer expert Graeme Bailey recently, and were informed that a renewal may not be too far away for Ederson at City.
City should not sell Ederson
So Ederson is apparently on the Saudi wishlist – but City must not entertain any interest in their Brazilian stopper this summer.
Simply put, he is one of the most important players in the team, and that sometimes gets forgotten because he is a goalkeeper. City youngster Jack Wint branded him ‘phenomenal’ earlier this season, which is a pretty fair comment about the South American.
Ederson’s calmness on the ball is unrivalled, and his passing range is a major weapon. He is the perfect person to have between the sticks for the way City play.
But to only talk about his ball-playing does him a disservice. Because we have seen him make some fantastic saves during his time at the club. Who could forget his amazing performance in the Champions League final against Inter?
Certainly, while Pep is sat in that hot seat at the Etihad, Ederson is not going anywhere, even if massive money is offered.
