Garth Crooks has lavished praise on Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, following another bid display from the Brazilian.
City are top of the Premier League again after beating West Ham United 3-1 at the London Stadium on Saturday.
After falling behind to a James Ward-Prowse goal, City hit back through Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland.
But City might not have won so comfortably in the end if it hadn’t been for Ederson.
He made a couple of key stops from Kurt Zouma and Michail Antonio to keep City in the game at 1-1.
And now, Crooks as hailed the Etihad number 1…
Garth Crooks just stunned by how good Ederson is for Man City right now
There is a real chance that City may not be top of the league right now had it not been for Ederson.

The £35 million star’s save from Zouma was magnificent, and it gave City a platform to go on and take all three points.
Speaking about the 29-year-old, Crooks said (BBC Sport): “He’s at it again: winning matches for Manchester City. Ederson’s save from Kurt Zouma, at arguably the most crucial point of their game at West Ham, was a match-winning save if ever I saw one.
“Zouma couldn’t have done more with the header. His leap was superb and matched only by the power and direction of the header. West Ham’s Alphonse Areola might have made nine saves during the course of the game but he couldn’t win West Ham the match.
“Ederson’s display earned City another three valuable points away from home and that is why City will be there battling it out for the title once again at the end of the season.”
Ederson has been so good in 2023
It was another fine display between the sticks from Ederson on Satuday.
Without doubt, he has been in amazing form this calendar year.
He really has played such a big part for City in the club’s most recent successes. Who can forget how amazing he was in the Champions League final against Inter?

Perhaps it is down to having a really strong number two behind him in Stefan Ortega Moreno.
Whatever it is, City fans will hope these kind of performances continue for as long as possible.
