Bayern Munich are open to loaning out ‘super’ player to Man City this summer

Manchester City have already seen one winger make a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Last month saw City land a deal for Savinho, who joined the club from French side Troyes.

In his previous season on loan at Girona, the Brazilian scored nine goals and delivered 10 assists in 37 La Liga games.

Once the move was announced, Pep Guardiola said that the 20-year-old is “devastating” in one-on-one situations.

Despite his arrival at the Manchester club, Guardiola’s side have set their sights on adding another winger to their squad before the summer transfer window closes.

Bayern Munich open to loaning Kingsley Coman to Man City

According to a recent report from Bild, City have an interest in Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

The report also adds that the Blues would prefer to sign the Frenchman on loan with an option to buy him permanently, which the German club are apparently open to.

City don’t need Coman

After successful spells with Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, the winger joined Bayern on an initial two-year loan from the Italian side before making it permanent in 2017.

With 294 appearances for Bayern under his belt, the 28-year-old has scored 63 goals and provided 66 assists for his side across all competitions, winning multiple titles along the way.

Last season saw Coman, whose contract at Bayern isn’t set to expire until the summer of 2027, score just five goals and deliver three assists in 27 games, struggling with injuries in the second half of the campaign.

Despite Coman being described previously as a “super” player by Julian Nagelsmann (via Bundesliga.com), we feel that with the addition of Savinho, as well as City having other wide options such as Oscar Bobb, Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish in their squad, a move for the France international isn’t particularly necessary.
