After years of steady building and limited editions, Manchester City have gone relatively signing-mad over the last couple of summer transfer windows.
With big-name players leaving the Etihad, Pep Guardiola has been forced to recruit heavily to replenish and rejuvenate his squad.
Though plenty of big names have seen their futures come into serious question, it looks like only one first-team star will leave the club.
Here you can keep track of every player linked to and from City throughout the 2024 summer transfer window.

Former City starlet Jeremie Frimpong played a key role in Bayer Leverkusen’s sensational Bundesliga title triumph and has inevitably been linked with a big summer move.
A return to City to eventually replace Kyle Walker has been mooted in the media.

Midfielders linked with Man City

Bruno Guimaraes – Newcastle United
The Blues have been repeatedly linked with Newcastle midfield general Bruno Guimaraes and are supposedly the favourites to sign him.
However, other reports suggest the Magpies’ steep asking price will scupper any move.
The Brazilian said on August 8: “I’m very happy, I never said I would like to leave, I always said I would like to put my name in the club’s history.”
Alan Varela – Porto
Reports suggest City, as well as Liverpool and Bayern Munich, are battling it out for Argentine defensive midfielder Alan Varela.
Dani Olmo – RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo has been repeatedly linked with City over the years and was again in May.
The Spaniard’s fantastic performances at Euro 2024 have increased speculation further but it’s reported City are concerned about his injury record. He is said to have a £50m release clause and Barcelona appear likely to sign him.
Lucas Paqueta – West Ham United
City were closing in on signing West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta last summer until it emerged he was being investigated for betting breaches.
Paqueta was once again linked with the club this year but any move looks unlikely after he was charged by the FA four times in relation to betting regulations.
Joshua Kimmich – Bayern Munich
Joshua Kimmich is a name long linked with a transfer to the blue half of Manchester and this summer is no different but he too reportedly wants a Barcelona switch instead. A recent update claims he has opened talks on a new contract with Bayern Munich.

City were linked with Benfica defensive midfielder Joao Neves in April with a price tag of over £100m touted.
A report on July 16 claimed that City are still keeping tabs on Neves with PSG also keen on the youngster.

After his call-up to the England squad for Euro 2024, Adam Wharton was linked with a move to the Etihad.
It’s claimed City see him as a ‘long-term target’ but are not expected to make a move this summer.

City are said to be in the race for highly-rated Monaco prospect Maghnes Akliouche along with RB Leipzig, PSG, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

Forwards linked with Man City

Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace
City are one of many clubs linked with Palace forward Eberechi Eze, with it being suggested City are considering triggering his £60m buy-out clause. However, the latest report suggests City are hesitant about signing him as they are already well-stocked on the right flank.
Pedro Neto – Wolves
City have been touted with an interest in rapid Wolves winger Pedro Neto ever since he helped his side defeat the Blues in October. However, it’s claimed he is not a top priority right now with a £60m price tag on his head.
Joao Felix – Atletico Madrid
City were reportedly offered the chance to recruit Joao Felix as part of the deal that will see Julian Alvarez join Atletico Madrid but turned it down.

West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has been touted as a possible Kevin De Bruyne replacement, with Guardiola said to be a big admirer of the Ghanaian.

City were one of several clubs with a supposed interest in Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise but he has instead joined Bayern Munich.

Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and PSG were all touted with an interest in forward Julian Alvarez but it’s Atletico who have won the race.
The Argentine is closing in on a £82m to the Spanish capital.
Jack Grealish
After an underwhelming season in which he struggled for game time, Jack Grealish has been linked with a move away though City are reportedly not looking to offload him. Chelsea have been linked.
Bernardo Silva
It wouldn’t be a transfer window without Bernardo Silva’s future being questioned and it already has this year despite him signing a new contract in 2023.
However, the latest report claims PSG are no longer interested.
Kalvin Phillips
Kalvin Phillips looks unlikely to have much of a future at City after another disastrous campaign and a failed loan stint at West Ham.
Sean Dyche’s Everton are reportedly keen on taking him on loan for next season, though.
Ederson
Speculation that Ederson could leave the club for Saudi Arabia picked up a lot of speed in July.
It was reported on July 3 that he is interested in joining All-Nassr and that he has been offered a two-year contract worth £50m.
However, the Saudi club have reportedly now pulled out of the race and he now looks set to stay.
Kevin De Bruyne
There is strong and repeated speculation that Kevin De Bruyne could potentially leave City this summer. Teams in both Saudi Arabia and the USA are said to be interested in the brilliant Belgian.

It was reported in Spanish media in May that Real Madrid see Rodri as the dream replacement for Toni Kroos but it’s hard to see City letting their most important player go.

It was reported in May that City have no plans to use Yan Couto despite his strong season at Girona and are looking to sell the right-back.
He has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan but the German club have an obligation to buy.
