Manchester City have shown over the past four years that they have the strongest squad in England.
Having become the first side to win four consecutive Premier League trophies as well as securing three European titles, Pep Guardiola boasts one of the strongest squads across the top five leagues.
This was highlighted last weekend as City beat Manchester United to win the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.
Now that the new Premier League campaign is about to get underway, one pundit has shared his verdict on what City have in their ranks.

Pat Nevin reckons Jack Grealish could be in trouble at Man City
While reflecting on the recent Community Shield, Pat Nevin had this to say in a recent edition of his BBC Football Extra newsletter on City’s attacking options and which player, in particular, he thinks could find it difficult getting regular game time this season.
He said: “Did the weekend’s Community Shield showcase tell us much about the coming season for Manchester United or Manchester City?
“I got a little caught up in the wide attacker storyline rather than the wider narrative.
“Oscar Bobb and Jeremy Doku alongside the talents of Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and now new-boy Savinho are making it look like £100m worth of winger in Jack Grealish could be surplus to requirements.
“Only Jack can change that narrative, but it is not looking great considering his goals and assists return last season. Injuries and his age are suddenly not in his favour either.”
Grealish will be important for City this season
Last season saw the 28-year-old appear in 20 Premier League games, 10 of which he started.
Having only scored three goals and supplied one assist across those games, the £100m winger admitted in an interview with The Athletic that he struggled with his confidence throughout periods of the campaign.
However, having said that he wants to use his disappointment from last season as motivation to do his best in this campaign, we feel that this is the right attitude for him to have and will be what makes him an important figure for Guardiola.
