Manchester City star Kalvin Phillips is reportedly being considered by Bayern Munich ahead of the January transfer window.
The midfielder has again found minutes really hard to come by this season.
He has played just five games so far.
Rodri getting suspended for three games recently should have meant him coming into the starting XI.
But Pep Guardiola only started him against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup.
He was overlooked against Wolves and Arsenal, getting just a short cameo against the Molineux outfit.
As a result of the past couple of weeks, speculation about Phillips has increased – and there are now claims that Champions League giants Bayern Munich are keen again…
Bayern Munich eye January swoop for Kalvin Phillips
After missing out on Kyle Walker in the summer, it looks as though Bayern are ready to make a move for another of City’s England internationals.
According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, Phillips is one of the candidates being discussed by the bayern hierarchy for the winter window.
Bayern were actually linked with Phillips in the summer.
But the player insisted upon staying at the Etihad to fight for his place.
But he’s barely featured again, and you would imagine he will depart mid-season if things don’t change significantly.
Phillips may fancy linking up with Harry Kane at Bayern
So Bayern are looking at Phillips and there is definitely potential here for this to come to fruition.
Obviously now, Bayern have signed Harry Kane and the striker has been really enjoying his time out in Germany so far.
He’s scored eight Bundesliga goals so far and has settled well.

£150,000-a-week star Phillips may be looking at what the England captain has done and fancy linking up with him.
Just like at City though, competition for places at the German giants is very strong.
But Phillips definitely needs to leave on loan in January. It is just a shame to see him playing so little.
