Ben Foster left stunned by ‘ruthless’ thing one Man City player did against Fulham

Manchester City continued their unbeaten streak in the Premier League last weekend by beating Fulham 3-2.

With seven league games played now, City have won five and drawn two, scoring more goals (17) than any other side in the division along the way but conceding eight in the process.

In their match at the Etihad Stadium against Fulham, City went 1-0 down for the third time across their four home league games of the season.

Pep Guardiola’s side then found themselves 3-1 up after 82 minutes before they conceded again just six minutes later.

Having walked away with three points, the Citizens kept their place towards the top of the league table in the mix with Liverpool and Arsenal.

This match has since led to a pundit and former Premier League player sharing some big praise for something he saw from the champions during their battle with the Cottagers.

Ben Foster wowed by Man City’s second goal against Fulham

In a recent edition of The Football Fill-In, Ben Foster had this to say about what impressed him the most in City’s win over Fulham.

He said: “[Mateo] Kovacic’s second goal was just a thing of beauty.

“Phil Foden down the left, ball to the back post, Bernardo Silva taking it down, cutting it back for him, the finish as well.

“All of it was just so quick and ruthless.”

What did Kovacic say after City’s win against Fulham?

Having gone 2-1 up with Kovacic’s second goal of the match just two minutes into the second half, this highlights how Guardiola wanted his side to start this period of the game.

Even though he scored a vital brace on Saturday, Kovacic said after the game that Ederson rescued City with the saves he made in the match.

In fact, the Brazilian made two crucial saves for the Blues to help them get the result they wanted.

Therefore, even though Foster was overjoyed by the goal Kovacic scored to put City ahead with the help of Foden and Silva, the former goalkeeper perhaps should have shared some praise for Ederson for his efforts in the game as well.
