Cesc Fabregas has praised Kevin De Bruyne for his knack of producing something out of nothing.

The 36-year-old expressed his delight at witnessing De Bruyne return to Premier League action on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport’s Planet Premier League (17/01/2024) show.

Tim Sherwood claimed that despite the plethora of top players at the Etihad Stadium, the former VFL Wolfsbug talisman remains their biggest asset.

Jamie Carragher also praised the Belgian international, emphasising that he would get into an all-time Premier League XI.

The pundit also added that in his opinion, the treble-winner is Manchester City’s greatest-ever player, as he believes he has surpassed the likes of David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure.

Now, Cesc Fabregas has heaped praise on Kevin De Bruyne for his uncanny ability to produce moments of magic for his side.

“Kevin [De Bruyne] has paid for it [excessive games] at some point and it’s good to see him back. 100% because even as good as City are, it’s always something special coming out of his foot. You’re always expecting the impossible with him and that tells you straight away that he’s a special player”, he said on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport’s Planet Premier League show.

High praise for Kevin De Bruyne

Cesc Fabregas echoed Pep Guardiola’s opinion about Kevin De Bruyne, zeroing in on his tendency to produce special moments on a constant basis.

Considering the World Cup winner is one of the greatest midfielders of all time and was known to do so as well, De Bruyne must be flattered if he comes across his comments.

Much like the Manchester City maestro, Cesc Fabregas was also capable of controlling a game as well as producing goals and assists for fun.

Especially during the early years of his career at Arsenal as well as his return to the Premier League in a Chelsea shirt, Fabregas was the complete attacking midfielder.

As a result, for him to laud Kevin De Bruyne as he has is yet another indicator of how special a midfielder he is and has been for years, especially during his spell at the Etihad Stadium.
