Manchester City have a track record when it comes to loaning out players to other clubs.
While they have loaned out Joao Cancelo in previous months, the Manchester club usually only loan out some of their younger players from the academy.
For example, City have seen the likes of James McAtee, Callum Doyle and Luke Mbete, among others, join other sides on temporary loan spells.
With just a few weeks left until the summer transfer window closes, another young talent has found himself set to start a new chapter of his development away from the Etihad Stadium.
Interestingly though, the chairman of the club in question who have now landed a deal for the player has shared some behind-the-scenes details on how and when this move came about.

Darragh MacAnthony shares details on Mahamadou Susoho loan move from Man City
Prior to the recent announcement of Mahamadou Susoho’s loan move to Peterborough United (via Man City), the League One club’s chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, shared these details on the deal while appearing on talkSPORT (6/8 10:45 am).
He said: “We did that deal on June 1st, but we’ve had to wait nine weeks because Pep didn’t have all his players out in America so this boy went with him.
“So we’ve had to wait until they got home on a flight on Sunday night from America for the boy to come and join us and play next Saturday.”
Susoho will hopefully shine at Peterborough
The 19-year-old has made 42 appearances for City’s youth sides across all competitions, scoring four goals and delivering two assists.
Last season saw the midfielder make his senior debut for Pep Guardiola’s side during their 3-2 win over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League, making a 14-minute cameo off the bench after travelling with several other academy figures.
Having then gone on to be a part of City’s recent pre-season tour of America and feature in some of their friendly matches in the process, this shows how highly thought of he is at the club.
With Peterborough also being eager to land a loan move for the midfielder since June according to MacAnthony, this also highlights how much they appreciate the player.
Moving forward, everyone involved in this deal will be hoping that Susoho will have a successful season with Peterborough and take a step closer to potentially working his way into City’s first team in the future.
