Manchester City have had a perfect start to their latest Premier League campaign.
Having faced off against Chelsea, Ipswich Town and West Ham United, the champions have secured three victories.
With Liverpool being the only other side to win all of their games, Pep Guardiola’s side currently tops the table by scoring more goals than the Merseyside club (9 vs 7).
Now that the first international break of the season has been and gone, the Blues have now turned their attention to Saturday’s league clash with Brentford at the Etihad Stadium.
In the buildup to this game, one pundit and former Premier League star has shared his prediction and even pinpointed one particular player in City’s squad he thinks could play a big role in the match.

Chris Sutton shares his prediction for Man City vs Brentford
In a recent column for BBC Sport where he previewed and predicted the scores for all of this weekend’s Premier League matches, Chris Sutton said this about City’s showdown against Brentford.
He said: “Brentford have been a bogey team for Manchester City in the past and Bees boss Thomas Frank knows how to beat them, that’s for sure – he did the double over them in 2022-23.
“That’s not going to happen this time, though.
“I refuse to put Erling Haaland in my Fantasy team on principle because the whole nation has picked him, but he is just unstoppable at the moment and City should win this one comfortably.
“City don’t usually hit their stride so early in a season. If this is them just warming up, then God help the rest of the Premier League.”
City will not want to break their winning streak at home against Brentford
As Sutton mentioned, Brentford did beat City at the Etihad Stadium back in the Manchester club’s Treble-winning season where they lost 2-1 to the Bees just before the 2022 World Cup took place in Qatar.
In the following season, the Blues beat Thomas Frank’s side home and away in their journey to win a fourth consecutive Premier League title.
With Sutton also mentioning City’s Norwegian striker, Frank said in his recent press conference that Haaland is almost impossible to keep quiet on the pitch.
Having scored seven goals across the Manchester club’s three opening league games, Haaland will undoubtedly want to add to his goal tally for the campaign and deliver his side a fourth victory in a row to get them back on track following the international break.
