The City Football Group now believe they can make a huge profit on Savinho – also known as Savio – a player who hopes to join Manchester City.
That is according to UOL.
So, what is the latest on Savinho and Manchester City? Let’s take a look…
City Football Group will either profit or send Savinho to Manchester City
Well – according to UOL – the City Football Group now value the Brazilian at €30m (£26m) after signing him from Atlético Mineiro for just £6m.
Savinho was initially assigned to Troyes – who are also owned by the City Football Group – and is currently shining on loan at another club under the City Football Group umbrella in Girona.
However, the South American wonderkid is actually hoping to end up at the City Football Group’s flagship club Manchester City one day.
Savinho told Premier League Brazil: “I have the goal of playing for City, yes. I think that when I was hired, my goal was always to get to City and I’m working towards that, but I have to keep my focus on Girona and do things well to get there.
“If one day I arrive at City, you can be sure that I did things well at Girona, as I am doing. I want to continue working here so that one day I can reach City, which is my reference point.”

UOL add that the City Football Group believe Savinho’s value could even rise higher before the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
The 19-year-old has been in sensational form over in Spain as Girona remarkably sit top of La Liga, scoring five goals while also providing five assists in 18 appearances across all competitions.
Barcelona like Savinho
It will be hard to prise him away from the City Football Group, although Barcelona are interested in Savinho.
That is according to SPORT in Spain.

The Spanish news outlet believe Xavi has added Savinho to his shortlist after watching him shine in Spain’s top-flight this season.
Therefore – if the City Football Group do ever decide to sell the teenager – Barcelona could be one side to hand over a huge profit on the initial £6m investment.
