Hull City fans have heaped praise on Manchester City loanee Liam Delap after a string of excellent performances.
The 20-year-old moved to the MKM Stadium on loan for the 2023/24 campaign back in July, and while the goals have not flowed as much as he would have liked, supporters are still delighted with his efforts.
So, what have the Hull City fans been saying about Manchester City loanee Liam Delap? Let’s take a look…
Hull City fans hail Manchester City loanee Liam Delap
Well, the son of Rory Delap has only scored six goals in 24 Championship appearances so far this season, although he has seemingly become a fan favourite regardless.
Supporters have been eulogising over Delap despite losing 1-0 to Sunderland on Boxing Day, which speaks volumes about just how well he performed.
The England Under-21 international took the game to the Black Cats almost singlehandedly at times, completing five successful dribbles on an afternoon where he showed real bravery in possession.

SofaScore also shows that Delap remarkably won ten duels against Sunderland, as he used his towering physique to fantastic effect.
One Hull City fan posted on X (previously known as Twitter) that they haven’t seen a striker at the MKM Stadium like the Manchester City loanee in the last 20 years, before calling him a serious talent.
Another supporter echoed that, before adding Delap would be “worth a fortune” if he could add regular goals to his game.
Two more Hull City fans also piled the praise on Delap.
One wrote that the powerful striker is “class” after the 1-0 loss to Sunderland.
Another called Delap a “constant threat” to the opposition while highlighting the forward’s ability to breeze past defenders.
Last but not least, a couple of other Hull City fans spoke highly about the Manchester City prodigy.
One even went as far as saying that Delap could be the heir to Harry Kane’s throne for England if he can improve his finishing, which is quite the claim.
They also expressed hope that the striker will spend another loan spell in Hull, something Tan Kesler – Vice Chairman of Hull City – has already admitted he too would like to see happen.
Another added that they can see the Winchester-born prospect playing for England at the 2026 World Cup in the United States if all goes well, before also mentioning that they see him playing for a top seven side in the Premier League.
Clearly, Delap has impressed the natives during his loan spell at Hull City – to say the least.
Hopefully, he can start to find the net regularly in 2024 to put the icing on the cake.
