Jamie Carragher gave his verdict on Manchester City striker Erling Haaland while watching him in action against Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
The former Liverpool defender was on co-commentary duty for the Premier League match between Chelsea and City on Sky Sports Premier League.
So, what did Jamie Carragher say about Manchester City star Erling Haaland?
Let’s have a look.
What’s the story?
Well, Manchester City have played out a 4-4 draw with Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League.
It was a brilliant game that had some superb goals and was entertaining from start to finish.
Erling Haaland scored two goals.
Jamie Carragher was especially impressed with the striker’s second.
Haaland scrambled in Julian Alvarez’s cross at the far post.

It was not the cleanest of goals that the striker has scored in his career so far.
However, the way that the Norwegian got in between two defenders was superb.
Carragher said: “Two minutes into this second half and Phil Foden gets the ball in acres of space and they score a typical Manchester City goal.
“Erling Haaland does really well and it is not great from Chelsea.”
Erling Haaland quietly impressive for Manchester City vs Chelsea
Much will be made about Cole Palmer and his goal for Chelsea against Manchester City, but we must remember to note just how well Erling Haaland played.
Haaland was not always involved in the game, but when he was, he was lethal.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker scored two goals.
Haaland took his penalty extremely well.
I never thought that the 23-year-old was going to miss.
The striker scored his second goal on 47 minutes.
Haaland also provided the assist for Rodri’s goal in the 86th minute.
The striker has scored 13 goals and given three assists in 12 Premier League matches this season.
There is speculation that City owners want to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2024 and play him with Haaland.
Can you imagine how potent City will become in attack if that happens?
