Tottenham Hotspur star Dominic Solanke has given his prediction on how Manchester City will fare in the new Premier League season.
The 2025-26 Premier League season is growing ever closer and it looks set to be an intense battle for the title, unlike last year’s cakewalk for Liverpool.
Hundreds of millions of pounds have been spent by the potential challengers, with Liverpool leading the way, having spent £300m following the signing of Hugo Ekitike.
Chelsea and Arsenal have both invested heavily, too, while Manchester City’s spending is about to pass the £150m mark.
James Trafford is set to become the sixth signing of the transfer window after City reached a £27m agreement with Burnley and swooped in ahead of Newcastle United.
The goalkeeper is set to join Sverre Nypan, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli at the Etihad Stadium.
With so much change and improvement, Dominic Solanke is expecting City to ‘bounce back’ next season.

Dominic Solanke predicts Man City to finish in Premier League top four
City endured their worst season since 2016, if not even longer, last term, as they failed to win a trophy and didn’t even put up a fight to keep hold of their title.
Things were verging on disaster at one point, but City were luckily able to splash considerable cash in the summer to turn things around.
Pep Guardiola rallied the troops and eventually finished third, just three points off ‘title challengers’ Arsenal.
As a result, Solanke is expecting to see them improve considerably in the forthcoming campaign.
Speaking to the TikTok channel @_da4p, Solanke was asked to name his top four prediction.
He said: “I’m going Tottenham, obviously, Liverpool, they’ve made some good signings, City I think they will bounce back this year and… Arsenal.”
Can Man City win the Premier League next season?
City won’t be satisfied with merely finishing in the top four again, though, as they will be ravenous to get their Premier League title back.
That will be easier said than done as Liverpool are capitalising on their momentum and building from a position of strength.
The Reds have already broken the British transfer record once by signing Florian Wirtz for £116m and could do so again if they sign Alexander Isak for £150m.
They’ve also signed Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Arsenal are bringing in Viktor Gyokeres along with other signings and Chelsea are once again on a spending spree.
It’s going to be a big fight to win the title.
