Ederson has shared the pitch and the dressing room with many players during his time at Manchester City.

Since joining City back in the 2017 summer transfer window, the Brazilian has gone on to make 336 appearances across all competitions.

Keeping 156 clean sheets along the way, Ederson has played a key role in the Manchester club’s trophy successes since his arrival.

Having spent such a significant period of time at the Etihad Stadium, the 31-year-old has got to know a lot of other players who have been on the same journey as him at the club.

Now though, the Brazil international has shared some details on what one particular City teammate is like behind the scenes.

Silva is vital for City on and off the pitch

Arriving at City in the same summer window as Ederson, Silva has made 359 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions, scoring 67 goals and providing 68 assists.

This isn’t the first time the Portuguese international’s attitude and motivational skills have been pointed out, as Andy Morrison praised the way Silva was motivating the players on the pitch when he came on as a sub during City’s Community Shield clash against Manchester United.

Now that Ederson has picked Silva as being the one who gets the players ready and motivated for a game, this further highlights how important he is for the club on and off the pitch.

It also highlights how much of a top signing the £300k-a-week midfielder has been for City.
