A claim has been that Manchester City have ‘enquired’ about signing RB Salzburg attacking midfielder Oscar Gloukh.
This comes from journalist Ed Aarons, after it was reported on Tuesday that PSG are leading the race to sign Sky Blues target Gabri Veiga.
Now, it seems as if Manchester City may have turned their attention towards a transfer involving Oscar Gloukh.

It seems like the treble-winners’ priority is to bring in an advanced midfielder in the summer in order to fulfil now-Barcelona maestro Ilkay Gundogan’s role in their side.
With Mateo Kovacic profiling similarly to Bernardo Silva as an out-and-out No.8, a partner for Kevin De Bruyne further up the pitch has become a priority position for the club after the German international’s exit.
As a result, it has been reported that Manchester City have ‘enquired’ about signing Oscar Gloukh, alongside other English clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Branded as a ‘sparkling’ talent by The Mastermindsite, the 19-year-old is known to one of Europe’s most gifted up-and-coming No.10’s.
Signing Gloukh would be a risky move
While Oscar Gloukh is undeniably a huge talent, for Manchester City to even bank on him as a rotation option in the event that they end up signing him seems like a risky call.
After all, the Israeli wonderkid joined RB Salzburg in January and as a result, his experience in the European top-flight is extremely minimal.
For a City side that will aim to contend, if not win every possible trophy that is available to them next season, a move to the treble-winners may be too much, too soon for Gloukh as well.
To add to that, the teenager would also have to adapt to Pep Guardiola’s system, which is known to be quite a gradual process in any case.
Perhaps Manchester City should instead bank on their other youthful creative talents who have already trained with the first-team on multiple occasions, namely Oscar Bobb and James McAtee.
