Erling Haaland now admits 28-year-old Manchester City teammate is always annoying people

Erling Haaland has now made a comment about his Manchester City teammate Jack Grealish.

The 23-year-old was taking part in a Friendship Test for the Premier League.

So, what did Erling Haaland say about Jack Grealish? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the Norway international was asked to describe the England international in three lines.

Haaland led with “winding people up” before adding that Grealish is “quite funny” and also a “top” guy.

The Manchester City No.9 said: “Winding people up. You’re an expert at that.”

It may only have been a brief line, although it provided a good insight into how Haaland and Grealish behave at the Etihad Stadium – there seems to be a juvenile silliness surrounding the pair, which is great to see in an era of mostly robotic footballers.

Grealish chose “viking” as his first word to describe Haaland, before adding “goalscorer” and “good guy” to the list.

How Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland have performed together at Manchester City

Grealish and Haaland clearly have a superb relationship off the pitch, although you may be wondering how they click on the pitch.

Since the Leeds-born striker arrived at the Etihad Stadium, roughly a year after Grealish sealed his £100m move from Aston Villa, the pair have played 52 games together for Manchester City.

In that space of time, they have combined to score five goals, all of which were netted by Haaland.

Manchester City have impressively averaged 2.48 points per game from those 52 fixtures, so Haaland and Grealish are clearly quite effective when playing together under Pep Guardiola.

Hopefully, this chemistry is allowed to continue, although the stunning form of Jeremy Doku is providing a real threat to Grealish and his chances of a start.
