Janusz Michallik has said that Manchester City lynchpin Rodri is the best player in the Premier League bar none.

Janusz Michallik believes Rodri deserves his spot right at the very top currently.

Janusz Michallik says Rodri is the best player in the Premier League

Branded as ‘truly elite’ by Breaking the Lines, Jamie O’Hara went as far as to recently claim that the 27-year-old would get into an all-time Premier League XI, whilst also saying that he is better than N’Golo Kante.

It is widely believed that no defensive midfielder in the world in the same league as the Spanish international.

Now, Janusz Michallik has said that Rodri is not just the best No.6 but also the out-and-out standout player in the Premier League.

“At No.1, I have Rodri because I always have Rodri at No.1 so I’m not going to explain it because he is to me, an exceptional, exceptional player”, he said.

Rodri has a case for being the best player in the world

Janusz Michallik may be subject to raised eyebrows for rating Rodri as highly as he does.

But the truth is that the Manchester City midfielder, especially last season would be a worthy winner of the Ballon d’Or.

For starters, not many players are masters of their role in the same vein as Rodri is.

To add to that, the former Atletico Madrid anchor is also such a menace going forward, being a threat in the final third with his underappreciated chance creation, goalscoring presence and powerful ball-carrying ability.

Additionally, Rodri is perhaps the most irreplaceable player in what is one of the greatest teams the game has ever seen.

Based on the past two seasons, in fact, has there been a more consistent player in the world?

The answer is a resounding no.
