Warren Zaire-Emery is a player Pep Guardiola would apparently love to have at Manchester City.
According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG offered Manchester City the chance to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti in exchange for Bernardo Silva this summer.
However, Guardiola ignored that offer, instead asking for the 17-year-old wonderkid, a request PSG had no interest in entertaining.
If Manchester City do somehow get a deal for Warren Zaire-Emery over the line in future, the move would seemingly come with the approval of Thierry Henry…
What’s the story?
Well, the Frenchman often does punditry work for Ligue 1.
As a result, Henry has been able to witness Zaire-Emery’s rise at PSG closely, and he has previously heaped praise on the teenager.
As quoted by Paris Fans, the 46-year-old said: “Zaire-Emery impresses me the most in terms of physical impact. You can always have players ahead in understanding the game… the way he recovers the ball with his feet in the opponent to knock it down. Seeing a youngster so ready for physical impact is exceptional.”

Henry is not the only one who has praised the PSG No.33 after his rise to stardom.
Joe Cole also showered Zaire-Emery in praise, likening him to Wayne Rooney on BT Sport.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, the 41-year-old said: “He’s an incredible talent. Physically he reminds me of Wayne Rooney, the size of his thighs. He’s a man already.”
Manchester City will surely find it hard to sign Warren Zaire-Emery anytime soon
PSG – like Manchester City – are one of the wealthiest clubs on the planet, so they have no financial need to sell their academy graduate.

Therefore, the Citizens may have to wait until his contract expires in July 2025 to have any chance of signing him, and that would only happen in the event that Zaire-Emery’s head is turned by Guardiola, or he grows disillusioned at the Parc des Princes.
Nevertheless, it should excite Manchester City fans to know that Guardiola is keeping an eye on the French wonderkid, who looks set to develop into a world class footballer.
